Assoc. Prof. Muhammed Ali Aydın graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering. He completed his master’s in the Department of Computer Engineering at İstanbul Technical University and his PhD in the same field at İstanbul University. During and after his PhD education, he worked as a researcher at the Institut National des Télécommunications at Telecom SudParis in France. In 2009, he was appointed as Assistant Professor and in 2019 as Associate Professor.
Assoc. Prof. Muhammed Ali Aydın, who served as the Head of İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa IT Department between 2018-2021, served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering between 2015-2023.
Since 2016, he has been the Head of the Department of Cyber Security in Computer Engineering and since 2021, he has been the Advisor to the Rector.
Assoc. Prof. Aydın’s research interests include Information Security and Analysis, Cyber Security, Computer Software, Internet of Things, Computer Networks and Communications.
