She graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Education and completed her master’s degree at the Institute of Social Sciences. Since 2002, she has worked in various village schools and realized many social responsibility projects in the field of education.
She was the first Turkish teacher to be selected among the World’s 50 Best Teachers and was nominated for the Global Teacher Awards and UNESCO awards. She was awarded the International Women’s Leadership Award by the European Parliament. She was named one of the 8 most inspiring women in the world by the European Commission on Women’s Rights.
She continues her work in the field of education in London, teaching at the International School of London and working as a United Nations Voluntary Education Representative.
