Prof. Bekir Sıddık Binboğa Yarman graduated from İstanbul Technical University, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in 1974.
After completing his master’s degree at Stevens Institute of Technology in the United States of America, Prof. Yarman received his PhD degree from Cornell University in 1982.
Prof. Yarman has worked as a faculty member at various academic levels such as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor at Anadolu University, İstanbul Technical University, İstanbul University and Işık University, and has worked abroad as a visiting professor at Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany (1987-1994), Tokyo Technical University, Tokyo, Japan (2006-2008) and Lincoln University, Lincolnshire, England (2016-2021). He is currently supervising PhD thesis studies at Lincoln University and Istanbul University.
He served as the Founding Rector of Işık University (1996-2004) and Chairman of the Board of Trustees (2010-2016).
Prof. Dr. Yarman, who has received many prestigious national and international awards for his scientific studies, has a total of 16 patents, 4 of which are abroad, 7 books in English, and over 300 articles.
He is also among the founding partners and on the board of directors of Savronik Group of Companies and RFT Research Inc.
