Prof. Dr. Özlem Serpil ÇAKMAKKAYA graduated from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She completed her medical specialty training in the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation of the same faculty. She worked as a Research Fellow at the University of California San Francisco between 2007-2009. After returning to Turkey, she completed her Ph.D. in Medical Education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Özlem Serpil ÇAKMAKKAYA is the Head of the Department of Medical Education at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, and serves as the Chief Coordinator of the Education Accreditation Commission, Self-Assessment Board and Student and Faculty Surveys Monitoring Unit. She also contributes to medical education accreditation studies at the national level by serving as an evaluator and rapporteur in the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs.
