In 1991, he graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering. He completed his master’s degree in 1994 and his doctorate in 1998 at Istanbul University Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Chemical Engineering. In 2009, he was granted the associate professor title and in 2015 the professor title. Prof. Dr. Erol İnce served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering between 2011-2015, as the Director of Istanbul University Technology Transfer Application and Research Center and Advisor to the Rector between 2015-2018, and as a board member of the EU and International Projects Office in the same years. In 2019, he served as Acting Dean of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Sports Sciences. He is currently serving as Vice Rector of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa.
